A small fascinating art route on August 1 & 2 in Warfhuizen, Saaxumhuizen, and Kloosterburen. Five artists will open their doors for you between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

 

The art route takes you through the Hogeland, passing three villages where artists display their work. The route can be started at one of the three locations in Warfhuizen, Saaxumhuizen, or Kloosterburen.

In Warfhuizen is the studio of Ina Fekken. She creates work using paper, cardboard, and her surroundings. Something involving a flower meadow, with an emphasis on the dandelion, framing, and perhaps a sparkling inspiration.

In Saaxumhuizen, two studios can be visited at the same location.
In the kitchen of her home, Anne Marieke Millenaar, restorer of textiles and other materials, sets the table. The dishes are certainly not ordinary... time to eat!

Maarten Robert, a woodcarver, has drawn inspiration from his Muses: man, animal, and architecture. All of this is shaped in his delightful craft... welcome to his studio!

In Kloosterburen, you will find anne wine in her studio. She has chosen ‘conversations in wool’ as her theme. Sculptures in organic forms invite a playful and lighthearted conversation full of movement.
In her wild forest garden with various seating areas lies a hidden hut. Guest artist Fokko Jelsma presents his Ode to the Summer Bowl here.

Refined beauty from the ‘Japanese Man’ studio. The light colors and subtle glazes of the

‘Natsu-chawan’ cool the summer heat, together with matching objects. Time for summer tea!

 

The route is easy to cycle.
