The Remarkable Disappearance..........

The remarkable disappearing ..... 
This series of artworks stems from the reports about the decline of insects, both  worldwide and in the Netherlands. As examples I choose insect species from the red list for instance. 
Next I cut them from a block of tracing paper. The block remains intact with visible contours, in which the silhouette of an insect appears in many shapes.
