Installation - The wall as a canvas
2009
church Adorp
The church dates from the 14th century and the interior was probably colorfully painted, including religious scenes, until the iconoclasm of 1566.
My idea was to temporarily bring images in the form of paper silhouettes back into the church.
I cut out various floral motifs in dark brown painted paper.
The installation “the wall as canvas” connected with the interior of the church.
Working from an old and historic interior fascinates me, and I can give it a different twist. Since then I regularly make installations in a historical setting with (usually) a current theme.
